Green Energy

Green energy is also called sustainable energy or renewable energy. It means finding other sources of energy, asides from fossil fuel. Nowadays, the fossil fuel deposits of this planet are slowly being depleted. Most people do not want to use nuclear energy because of the dangers it presents to the environment, not to mention health issues. Because of these reasons, everyone is looking for alternate sources of energy which is green or environment friendly.

Most sources of green energy are those which are renewable, like biofuel, solar energy, wind energy, wave power, geothermal energy and tidal energy. Renewable energy is something that is not consumed. For example, solar energy depends on sunlight. Sunlight cannot be consumed but is rather harnessed with the use of the solar panels. The energy is not entirely wasted, unlike oil and coal which needs to be consumed in order to harness the energy. Not only is green energy efficient, but it also improves energy efficiency as well.

Solar power is becoming famous among the middle class because they are simple to use and they are able to give energy to an entire house for hours. Wind power is one of the oldest sources of green energy and up until today, it is still used by many countries that do not have big oil deposits in their land. Hyrdroelectric dams provide millions of people renewable energy that is not harmful to the environment. There are many other sources of green energy that one can use. We need to discover new ways to get energy and not depend on fossil fuel or nuclear energy because of the potential threat that they have when used improperly. Nuclear power plants are prone to human errors which could lead to catastrophic results.
